The simple act of planting a tree will symbolize so much more this Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.  School officials invite the general public on May 3 to a ceremony to celebrate Arbor Day and the 40th anniversary of the Arbor Day Foundation's Tree City USA Program.

The ceremony will take place at UWS at 12:30 PM, in the green space just outside of the U-Superior Greenhouse, between Holden Fine Arts Center and Barstow Hall.  Chancellor Renee Wachter, Superior Mayor Bruce Hagen, members of the Tree City Board, Faculty, Staff, Students, and the general public will take part.

There will also be an update on the Emerald Ash Borer battle.
