An annual event that brings together a wide variety of area agencies, vendors, and veterans support groups in one location will happen again next week.  The Douglas County Veterans Expo will be held on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Superior - Tuesday, April 24 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room.

Current and former military personal, family members, and anyone in the community who has a general interest in veterans and veterans issues are invited to attend.  While the event is happening in Superior-Douglas County, support groups from Duluth and St. Louis County will also be on hand showcasing the resources and services they have available for veterans.

The event is free and open to the general public.  In addition, parking during the event will be free at signed locations.  UWS is a handicap-accessible location.  Light refreshments will be available.

During the afternoon and evening, a variety of sessions are planned featuring guest speakers.  Included on the schedule will be UWS Chancellor Dr. Renee Wachter, Superior Mayor Jim Paine, and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs CVSO liason Steven Janke.
