TV Series ‘Empire’ Pilot, Not So Good [REVIEW]

Loving music the way I do, I was really looking forward to the TV premier episode of Empire. I watched it, and recorded it as well, so I could review it again after I watched it. I"m now wondering my I bothered.

While the basic format of the show was just okay, it became  difficult to follow because of the constant flashbacks.  In my opinion, any piece of media (book, movie TV show etc.) should flow smoothly while telling the story, and the flow should remain constant. Jumping from the present to the past so many times interrupted the flow, making it hard to focus on the story.

The acting was okay, not great, and granted, most pilots are generally a little weak, as was this one. I'll watch it again next week, hopefully with much better results. If not, why waste my time? Using "C" as an average show, I'll rate this one a D+
