Tower Avenue Railroad Crossing To Close For One Week Project, Starting October 27

A week-long railroad/road project will detour traffic in South Superior, starting October27.

Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railway will be closing Tower Avenue/State Highway 35 between Central Avenue and North 62nd Street starting at 7:00 AM Wednesday, October 27 to replace the rail crossing. The closure will last for approximately one week. Southbound traffic on Tower Avenue/State Highway 35 will be detoured to Central Avenue/State Highway 105 to Oakes Avenue to North 63rd Street and back to Tower Avenue. Northbound traffic will be detoured at North 62nd Street to Ogden Avenue to Central Avenue to Tower Avenue/State Highway 35. Banks Avenue, North 63rd Street, North 62nd Street, Ogden Avenue and Central Avenue will be posted for No Parking while traffic is detoured. Motorist are encouraged to use a different route.
