This Could Be Your Band’s (Or Your) Big Break, Chester Creek Concert Series Looking For Musicians
This could be what your band needs to vault to the next level. Duluth Parks and Rec are looking for musicians to play the 2016 Chester Creek Concert Series. A great way to get in front of people and gain a following. Here's how to start and be considered.
The City Of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department’s selection committee will look over submissions of audio and /or video. Selected bands will be contacted by March 18.
According to a Press Release Here is some General Information about the Chester Creek Concert Series:
- Concerts held Tuesdays, 7 to 8:30 pm – you will need to arrive at least 1 hour in advance to set up.
- Series run is 10 weeks from June 14 through August 16. (Aug 16 concert held 6:30-8 pm due to earlier sunset times.)
- 2 rain dates: August 23 and 30 – starting times 6:30 and 6:00, respectively.
- Stipend of $250; sound equipment provided by a local vendor.
- Payment is processed after the concert, upon receipt of an invoice and W9 form.
- Concert attendance ranges from 300-800 with an average of 500.
- This is the 34th year of the concert series.
- Concerts are outdoors in a family-friendly setting; the performers are on an elevated stage.
