The Minnesota Ballet is coming to the Symphony Hall to perform a little different version of The Nutcracker. Instead of being set in the classic Nutcracker stage, this one takes place in New York, in Manhattan. Showcasing an ice fairy and Central Park.

Robert Gardner was on the air with us this morning to explain how exciting this version of the Nutcracker is, with iconic images, and musicians from UMD playing with them this year and a larger arrangement to match the big production.

The Minnesota Ballet celebrated its 50th anniversary recently.
