The First Annual Empty Bowls at Northwestern High School
Living in Lake Nebagamon, I try to support events that benefit others in our immediate area. Like so many communities today, Douglas County struggles to help those in need, and hats off to the students of Northwestern High School for their efforts and hard work sponsoring the First Annual Empty Bowls.
The event takes place Tuesday, March 26th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northwestern Commons. You can share a bowl of soup with your neighbors, plus you get to take home your favorite handmade art object, all for the price of only ten dollars.
All proceeds benefit The Rural Care and Share Food Shelf which serves people in Iron River, Maple, Poplar, Lake Nebagamon and surrounding areas. I hope to attend myself, and of course Mrs. Rayman will be there as well. Your ten dollars will be well spent, I assure you. I hope to see you there.
