Mrs. Rayman  wanted to go for a ride to see the colorful leaves over the weekend. Unfortunately, they had already peaked, but she did show me the Brule where several U.S. Presidents have fished.

Ever think of Ulysses S. Grant as an angler? He was the first of a handful of presidents that include Cleveland, Coolidge, Hoover, and Eisenhower to fish the Bois Brule, that river of many faces first known for its large brook trout and now for its browns, steelhead, and salmon.

5 US Presidents have stayed and fished on the Bois Brule: Grant, Hoover, Eisenhower, Cleveland and Coolidge  It was home to President Coolidge's summer White House and many presidents have stayed at the Cedar Island Estate. Here's an interesting story on President Eisenhower fishing the Brule.
