Jenny from Animal Allies called and we talked about cats, barn cats and senior cats. Right now barn cats are free of charge, and they have plenty to go around. The big thing is they want to find homes before it gets too cold.

The Pet of the week this week is Iggy, a Domestic Long Hair Mix. Jennie described Iggy. "Iggie is a beautiful 14 year old black and white cat. This dignified old lady is smart, gentle, and friendly. She loves attention from her human companions but would prefer to live without other pets, if possible. Iggie loves catnip and likes to chase after laser pointers. She has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you would like to adopt this sweet senior, please come visit her at Animal Allies Duluth."

Jenny also talked about barn cats. These are cats that are good for farms and usually live mostly outdoors and chase rodents, mice and the likes. She was saying there are many cats at the shelter ready to go live on a farm and help with that.
