Fishing season will be here before you know it.  In an effort to promote the outdoor sport, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources invites adults to Take A Kid Fishing Weekend - June 6th through the 8th.

That weekend, Minnesotan's 16 years and older don't need a license to take a kid 15 years and younger fishing.  Children under 16 don't need a license to fish.  In other words, during this weekend, adult Minnesotan's don't need a license to fish as long as they have a child 15 and younger with them who is also fishing.
