Over the weekend I visited with a friend to do some work on a project we've undertaken for a couple of years. Beautiful home and quite an adventurer. He made Pannekoeken for us and it was so good I have to share it.

Fall is a favorite season of many people for lots of different reasons.  Some love the fact that they don't have to deal with summer's heat and humidity and instead wake up to cool crisp mornings.  Some anticipate the colored foliage and others are busy picking their pro-football teams on their boards...

My favorite season is Summer, there's no denying it.  I like the warmer temps, wearing skorts when I run and the seemingly everlasting daylight.  But, I also like to make soups, hot dishes, bake and try new recipes.  For those activities, the cooler Fall weather is best.  This Taste of Home recipe that includes cream corn and butter caught my eye, I tried it and it was fantastic!

The Bayfield Apple Fest is coming up the weekend of October 7, 8 and 9, time to get out all your favorite apple recipes.  May I suggest one to add to your cache?  Taste of Home adds the unusual taste of almond brickle and English toffee to make a dip that won't stay in the bowl for long.
