New York City School Bus Drivers On Verge Of Strike

Wisconsin Passes New School Bus Law

A new school bus law in Wisconsin brings the state in line with the other 49 states in regards to safety lights.  All school buses built after 2005 are now required to use an 8-light signaling system to alert drivers on the road the intentions of the bus driver.  Since the 1970's, the other states in the nation started evolving to this light system that uses flashing amber lights to signal an anticipated stop.  The law that passed yesterday (August 16) makes Wisconsin the final state in the union to join the system.

MNDOT Revises Schedule For Blatnik Bridge Closures; New Start Date Is August 22

As we reported yesterday, the Blatnik Bridge is scheduled for about 8 weeks of repairs - which will result in total lane closures on both the north and south-bound lanes.  The original date for the beginning of this project was to be Monday, August 15.  A new revised timeline from the Minnesota Department of Transportation has that start date moved to Monday, August 22.

Suspect In Superior’s Kool-Aid Counterfeit $20 Case Held Over For Arraignment; Next Court Date In September
