So far we've learned that the worst US drought in 50 years will cause meat prices to rise and has even forced some ranchers to feed candy to their cattle. But now comes truly disturbing news from the UK's National Pig Association (who knew there was such a thing?): a worldwide bacon and sausage shortage may also be in the future.
The P.I.G.S are having another day of fun, riding, eating and raising money for the Vets. It's the 3rd Annual Ride for the Vets. The ride starts on Saturday, June 2 at Roper's Saloon in Superior Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the actual ride starts at noon.
The P.I.G.S. helped raise $28,000 to purchase a new van from BENNA Ford/Roush in Superior. They did so by holding their 2nd annual Ride for the Vets. The Van will make over 200 trips each year and transport over 1,000 Veterans from Douglas , Ashland, Bayfield, and St. Louis counties.
