We asked for your nominations for the best local performers and now we have them down to 5 finalists. Now we need your help to vote for the best. Each of these artists had to be from the area and perform on a regular basis. So here they are:

It's a great way to get your name out, have some fun and play live music outside. Duluth Parks and Recreation is looking for you is you are an artist or band and want to play live for the Chester Creek Concert Series.

We at KOOL have featured some of the best performers from the area, but the best of the best? Maybe. We are looking for your votes to tell us who the best artist/performer is in the Duluth/Superior area.

Christmas is too serious, the Black Friday sales, cyber Monday, winding down the season to office Christmas Parties, School Holiday Programs, Secret Santa presents, etc. With all the STUFF taking away from Christmas, I like to keep the season joyful. Have a laugh!!

With the advent of different ways to listen to music, the world opens up for what you can listen to. No longer are you strapped down to your cd player and one album. You can have radio, ipod, phone, cd, tape (old school), or a service. So, that's what started the question, What are you listening to?

The Rolling Stones are set to release a new album October 6th According to their youtube.com page. They have been hinting it is a blues album, which they are huge fans of, and have been talking about a project like this for a long time.

People hear artists these days and there are so many great singers. During the 80's many tech advances made it possible for people that don't sing well to have hits and sound great on recordings. This is a little extreme but this engineer works hard to make this woman sound good.

Kaylee Matuszak was in the morning show this morning to talk about her music, and even perform for us. She recently graduated from Hermantown High School and excelled at many things including sports and music. Her Dad Brian Matuszak is very well known in the area for his performing skills and I can see passed some of them on to Kaylee.
