Freddie Mercury Biopic Still Scheduled to Star Sacha Baron Cohen

Film producer Graham King says he’s still planning on filming a biopic about Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in 2012, and Sacha Baron Cohen is still planning on playing the lead role. It’d be a rare serious role for Cohen, best known for starring in films like ‘Borat (2006)’ and ‘Bruno (2009).’

TRON Guy Recreates Film’s Racing Scene With Duct Tape [VIDEO]

TRON Guy Jay Maynard is back and this time he’s got a little bit of corporate and creative muscle behind him. Created by San Francisco based agency Ryactive for Duck Brand duct tape, ‘Duck TRON’ is a colorful, duct tape send-up of the sci-fi flick’s famous racing sequences. And who’s the ‘user’ behind the races? Maynard, of course.

The video, which went live less than a week ago, has already racked up more than 300,000 views on Vimeo.

Weekend Box Office: ‘The Help’ Takes Over Top Spot

In its second week of release, strong word-of-mouth and positive reviews propelled ‘The Help’ past ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ to take the number one spot at the box office this weekend, while ‘Apes’ moved to the number two slot.

The Harrison Ford/Daniel Craig sci-fi vehicle ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ tied with ‘The Smurfs’ for first place at the box office, with each taking in $36.2 million in their debut weekend.

The blockbuster ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ dropped to fourth, earning a total of $318.4 million in the three weeks since its release, while ‘Friends with Benefits,’ ‘Horrible Bosses,’ and ‘Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon’ dropped out of the top five.
