Mississippi River Sign Project Almost Complete; Minnesota Department Of Transportation Wraps Up Three Year Work To Mark The Shoreline

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation say that work is almost finished on a three-year project to provide signage along the native shores of the Mississippi River.  By mid-July, the more than 800-mile river will include signs that help motorists and bicyclists better navigate the scenic byways that flank the waterway.

When Does The Bong Bridge Project Start? Superior-Bound Lanes Close April 13 As Part Of Two-Year Project

Year Number Two of the work on the Bong Bridge commences Monday, April 13 as the eastbound or Superior-bound lanes close to traffic until November 2015.  When it's finished, the work will represent a total rebuild of the deck - something that has never occurred since the bridge first opened to traffic in 1984.  It will also see the new roundabout as a fully-functioning intersection.
