Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the seventh studio album by the British singer-songwriter  Elton John. Released in 1973, it has come to be regarded as one of his best and most popular albums.

Purple Rain is regularly ranked among the best albums in music history. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the second-best album of the 1980s and 76th on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

I watched a recorded concert of the Pretenders yesterday and loved Chrissie Hynde (a female Keith Richard?) Learning to Crawl was their third album, the big hit was Back on the Chain Gang  It reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming the band's only Top 5 hit in the U.S.

Blondie is one of my all time favorite artists. Not only are her songs fantastic, but her on-stage persona blows me away as well. Parallel Lines contains several of Blondie's best-known hits, like Heart of Glass, Hanging on the Telephone, and One Way or Another.

Bat Out of Hell is one of the best selling albums in the history of recorded music, having sold a total of 43 million copies worldwide. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it at number 343 on its list of 500 greatest albums of all time  in 2003.

The album includes his breakthrough hits, Maggie May and Reason to Believe. Reason had initially been the A-side of the single and Maggie May the B-side, until public reaction resulted in their reversal.

The album cover depicts handwritten lyrics to a song called  August and Everything After, but the band decided against featuring the song on the album of the same name; it was not until over a decade later that it was played as part of one of their live concerts.
