Recently, a Stockton, California man had his front door kicked down, was dragged in his underwear to his front yard and handcuffed in front of his three children by a SWAT team.

The reason? His estranged wife had defaulted on her student loan payments, and the U.S. Department of Education apparently sent the heavily armed squad in to collect.

Kenneth Wright was detained in a police car for over six hours as the the authorities tried in vein to search for his wife, who was not at the home.

"All I want is an apology for me and my kids and for them to get me a new door," Wright said in an interview with ABC News 10 of Stockton.

The Department of Education won't comment on the incident until an investigation is completed. Read on to see Wright explain what happened.
