A $553-million deal will see the new owners for the Calumet Refinery in Superior.  Husky Energy - a company located in Canada - will absorb the refinery into it's operation - increasing its capacity by 50,000 barrels a day.

According to theglobeandmail.com, the new owners say that will retain about 180 employees at the Superior location.

Calumet has owned the Superior refinery operation since 2011 - producing a product line of gas, diesel, asphalt, and heavy fuel oils.
