As our weather gradually turns warmer, the conditions of winter-related trails change almost daily.   Due to the changes in the weather, the City of Superior has released information regarding the Crosstown Trail and the ski trails in the municipal forest.

As of March 14, the entire Crosstown Trail is closed as is the new loop that travels through the city.  The gate that is located at McClure's Landing has been closed.  At this point, the motorized trails in the municipal forest and on the Osaugie Trail south of Loon's Foot Landing remain open to the general public, however that status is expected to change as soon as next week.

Meanwhile, the ski trails in the municipal forest remain open at this time.  The city is also sending out a general reminder that during the winter (at least during the time of year that they are being groomed for skiing) walkers and dogs are not allowed.  Officials with the City of Superior are working on an alternative trail system for this use before next winter.
