Superior To Recognize International Migratory Bird Day – May 14; Annual Event Maintains “Bird City” Recognition

You may or may not have known that the City of Superior holds rank as a "Bird City".  As such, the city has adopted many regulations and guidelines in an effort to protect and promote the bird population.

An event coming up follows along those established mandates.

On Saturday, May 14, Superior will hold an International Migratory Bird Day - with events planned on Wisconsin Point and at the Richard I Bong Veterans Historical Center Theater.

• At 8:00 AM, a Birding Hike will happen on Wisconsin Point, led by Robbye johnson.  Interested individuals are asked to meet at Lot 1 prior to the start of the hike.
• At 10:00 AM, Chris Cold will lead a Wildlife Ecology & Management (with an emphasis on birds) Presentation at the Bong Center.
