Police in Superior are investigating an incident that happened on Sunday, October 27th - involving a taxi cab robbery.  Officers were called about an armed robbery that occurred on N 6th Street between Cumming and Baxter.

According to the report, a driver for Badger Taxi claimed to be robbed.  The driver reported that he responded to pick up a fare in Duluth near 30 E 2nd Street.  When he arrived at that address, two males were standing outside the residence waiting and requested that they be driven to an area near the Hammond Spur in Superior.  The taxi driver drove to Superior, and the two males directed him to turn off on N 6th Street off Hammond Avenue.  At about N 6th Street, the two males instructed the driver to pull over and let them out.  The cab driver pulled to the side of the road and was immediately grabbed from behind around the neck. The two males demanded his money and ordered him to empty his pockets.  They then exited on foot.

The taxi driver identified both suspects as being black males in their 20's.  Both suspects were believed to be about 6 feet tall and with a slim build.  One suspect is described as wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Individuals with information are asked to call 911.
