The National Night Out happens Tuesday, August 7, 2018 - with communities all around the country hosting outdoor celebrations meant to allow neighbors to get to know one another.  The gatherings are also designed to help alleviate rising crime rates by bringing law enforcement together with members of the community.  Locally, both Duluth and Superior usually hold multiple events at various locations throughout the Twin Ports.

In advance of this years National Night Out,  the Superior Police Department is canvassing social media to find out where potential gatherings might occur.  Specifically, they want to know if you are planning one - and where they might be.  Members of the Superior Police Department can then add it to their schedule both for promotion purposes and so that they can make an effort to stop by.

If you live in Superior and are planning an event on August 7 for the National Night Out, you're asked to contact the police department's Bonnie Beste at 715-395-7401.

As of right now, the Superior Police know about the following National Night Out locations:

  • Bartley Manor
  • Clifford Lund Building
  • Hayes Court
  • Wade Bowl Park
  • Zion Lutheran Church
