Does it seem like the road construction projects in the Twin Ports never seem to end?  Well - hang on to your hats!  There's another major overhaul project that's getting ready to dramatically change your commutes - especially if you live in Superior.

Over a two year period, the stretch of Belknap Street that runs through the heart of the city will be closed, rebuilt, and look dramatically different when it's done.

A public meeting will be help to explain the details of the work on Thursday, October 2 - 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Superior Public Library.

In general, here are the closure plans as they exist now:

  • 2017 - West Portion - Banks Ave. to John Ave.
  • 2017 - East Portion - Poplar Ave. to E. 7th St.
  • 2018 - Middle Portion - John Ave. to Poplar Ave.
