Once upon a time Superior residents didn't pay for stormwater or recycling.  Now - in lieu of increased property taxes - they do, along with their sewer usage.  Residents who received their 4th quarter bill a few days ago and noticed that they were due rather quickly will get an extra ten days to pay.

The bills in question had a February 13 due date.  The city has decided to extend that out to February 23 because of billing problems on their end.

While news of the extension has been made public via the media, it's interesting to note that the city has not officially notified residents that they will have an extra ten days.  In other words, they are not sending amended bills or statements.  Perhaps they are hoping that many people will just pay their bill according to their earlier timeline.
