A day after being closed due to a snowstorm, it is being reported that Cloquet Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, March 17 as staff deal with a 'a very bad virus' that has caused severe technical problems for the school district that are impacting a number of vital services.

The Cloquet Pine Journal is reporting that Superintendent Ken Scarbrough sent an email to parents and district employees today, detailing significant technical problems that are impacting computerized school services like food service, email, curriculum, and instruction. He went on to explain that technicians will need the day to restore services and encouraged students and staff to avoid logging into district computer services or using school computers.
