On a night that features a rematch from Super Bowl LI, the NFL has revealed the performer for Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis. Recent speculation suggested that Justin Timberlake may be the halftime performer for the February 2018 game at US Bank Stadium, marking a return to one of the biggest stages in the world of sports.

The NFL confirmed this evening that Timberlake would be performing at this year's halftime show, and JT took to Twitter as well to share the news.

Timberlake has also performed in  Super Bowls XXXV and XXXVIII, with the second of those being 2004's infamous show where he and Janet Jackson stirred up controversy over the infamous "wardrobe malfunction".

Timberlake's performance from US Bank Stadium will be on NBC as part of their broadcast of Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018.
