Summer vacation is here and if you have kids, chances are you're looking for fun, cost-effective activities for them to take part in the next few months.  One program - run by the City of Superior - is starting on Monday.

The Summer Playground Program in Superior runs June 12 through August 4.  From 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM each weekday, children under the age of 18 are invited to take part in the activities.

At six different parks throughout the city, trained staff will be in place to guide the activities and to monitor safety. The School District of Superior will provide free lunch and snacks for participants and those under the age of 18.

There is no cost involved for the main program, however there are some field trips scheduled that will incur minimal costs.

The program will take place at the following sites:

  • Billings Park
  • 18th and Oakes Avenue
  • Gouge Park
  • Hammond Park
  • Wade Bowl
  • Webster Park
