The Minnesota Department of Transportation is soliciting disadvantaged businesses to participate in Federally-funded projects throughout the state.  A series of meetings have been scheduled to discuss the goals and ways that this initiative can be attained.

MNDOT is required by the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Authority to set statewide goals for three-year periods to include disadvantaged business participation on federally-funded projects. For the 2016-2018 time period, the proposed goal for Federal Highway Administration assisted projects is 11.7 percent and the proposed goal for Federal Transit Agency assisted projects is 6.57 percent.

Public meetings have been scheduled for the followings dates and locations:

  • July 9, 2015, 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the MNDOT District 6 headquarters, 2900 48th Street NW, Rochester.
  • July 10, 2015, 1:30 to 3:00 PM at Summit Academy (The Collaborative Group) 935 Old Olson Highway, Minneapolis.
  • July 13, 2015, 2:00 to 3:30 PM at Arden Hills Training Center,1900 W. County Road I, Shoreview.
  • July 16, 2015, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at MNDOT District 1 headquarters, 1123 Mesaba Ave., Duluth.
