If you own land in St. Louis County that has a sewer system on it or small out-buildings, you might want to know about proposed changes to the current ordinance schedule.  The St. Louis County Planning Commission has finished the review process and they're getting ready to recommend updates to to Subdivision Ordinance 60 and Zoning Ordinance 62.

As the proposal currently stands, the county would seek to change their septic system requirements so  that they are more in line with the County's Subsurface Sewage Treatment System Ordinance.  At the same time, they are also proposing language clarifications to boathouse standards as well as placing small structures on non-conforming lots.

The general public is invited to view the changes in advance of the proposals.  Click here to see them online.  There will also be a public meeting on Thursday, August 11 - 9:00 AM - during the Planning Commission's regular meeting in the Northland Office Building in Virginia.  For more details call 218-749-7103.
