St. Louis County Historical Society Holds Minnesota Remembers Vietnam Events
A focused effort to provide programming and reflection for Vietnam veterans is the theme behind a series of events being held by the St. Louis County Historical Society over the next few months - the first of which happens Saturday, May 26. The society applied for and received a grant through the Minnesota Humanities Center for the program, with events focused around the PBS documentary "The Vietnam War" by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.
Veterans - especially those from the Vietnam War - are invited to share in a meal, conversation, and the short clips from the documentary The sessions are informal and and free of charge; there is no commitment, however organizers ask that those planning to attend call ahead to reserve their spot so that they can plan for the meals needed. Contact number is 218-733-7586.
