While we haven't had a lot of April showers (at least up to this point), we can definitely county on May flowers - especially if we take part in the 2017 Spring Gardening Extravaganza presented by the St. Louis County Extension office.  A two-part gardening series kicks off with the inaugural session on April 18 at the First United Methodist Church (the Coppertop Church).  Check in starts at 4:45 PM and the actual session runs 5:30 to 8:45 PM.

At the sessions, you'll learn great gardening tips specifically tailored to our area by the experts:  Tom Kasper, Bob Olen, Dan Schutte, and Catherine Winter.

The session on April 18 will include information about the following topics:

  • Top flowering perennials
  • Bees and native pollinators
  • Native and pollinator gardens
  • Small space vegetable gardens
  • Low input eco-friendly lawns
