St. Louis County residents who are party planning for the 4th of July weekend will be able to skip the Sunday drive to Wisconsin to restock on liquor;  a vote by the St. Louis County Board to change the liquor license ordinance to allow Sunday off-sales happened at June 27 meeting.  With the implemented changes, businesses that offer off-sale (and hold a county-issued liquor license) will be able to do so on Sunday's between the hours of 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

The vote on the amendment followed the recent changes at the state level.  The St. Louis County measure passed on a vote of 6-0, with Commissioner Pete Stauber absent.
