Two popular attractions in Superior are reopening their doors to the public for the season with new exhibits and more.  The SS Meteor Whaleback Museum (located on Barkers Island) and the Old Firehouse and Police Museum (in Superior's East End) will host a free open house on Sunday, May 21 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM.

The dual event allows folks an opportunity to rediscover and explore what these local treasures have to offer. In addition to the tours you'll also have the chance to enjoy cake, coffee, and punch.

At the SS Meteor, new exhibits await - so even if you've visited before, this is a great time to come back.  Volunteers have also applied some "elbow grease" to spruce things up.

  • The SS Whaleback Museum is located at 300 Marina Drive on Barkers Island.
  • The Old Firehouse and Police Museum is located at 402 23rd Avenue east.
