According to Minnesota Power, multiple factors caused a power outage in East Duluth this morning. One of the factors was a squirrel, yes you read that correctly.

So if you were wondering why you didn't have power this morning in East Duluth, you now know why. Along with faulty equipment and weather conditions, a squirrel getting into the jumper caused people to lose power this morning.

This followed a power outage that caused more than 3,500 customers to lose power yesterday in Congdon, Morley Heights, Chester Park and Hunters Park.
