Considering a new career field?  Food industry observers might suggest that you get the experience necessary to become a sommelier.

What IS a sommelier you ask?  Most dictionaries describe a sommelier as someone who's job it is to be knowledgeable about wine.  High-end restaurants employ a sommelier to advise head chefs as to food and wine pairings.  They're also available table-side to make those same sort of suggestions to customers who are looking for the best beverage to sample with their food.  A sommelier is also a resource for that same customer who is looking for more information and details about the wines they're drinking.

This article from the Wall Street Journal explains why wine sommeliers have become the "next big thing" to foodies.
