The last full week of February 2018 looks to be bookended by snow events that will have shoves scraping and snowblowers blowing. While it doesn't look at this time like we'll see quite the snow that came earlier this week, with some areas getting over a foot of snow, there is still a chance of a significant snowfall total before the end of the weekend.

UPDATED 2/22/18 at 3:43 pm

The first of these two snow events comes into the picture on Thursday night. Snow is expected to start sometime Thursday evening (between 8 pm and 11 pm as of right now) and continue through Friday morning. The latest forecast information calls for 3-6 inches of snow, with some places along the North Shore that could see more. Heavy snow is anticipated at times, adding difficulty to what could already be tough travel conditions. There is also a potential for freezing drizzle to mix with snow, mainly Friday morning for parts of the area - especially to the south and east of Duluth. This blend of snow (potentially heavy at times) and possible freezing drizzle will make for a mess for Friday morning's commute. Snow should wrap up before 9 am or so on Friday morning.

The second round of snow is coming into the picture for Saturday night into Sunday morning. The way things are looking right now, light snow will begin in the Twin Ports around 6 pm on Saturday, and increase in intensity during the evening hours.
