Animal Allies Pet Of The Week

Daryl and I talked about the cold weather coming our way and it's a great time for getting a pet for Seniors. It's someone for them to care for and it's a companion, there are many health benefits to having a pet including: lowering the risk of heart disease, lowering blood pressure, and reducing stress.

It's a program called sidekicks for Seniors, Animal Allies is offering no-fee adult cat adoptions and $50 off all dog and kitten adoptions to any adopter 60 years of age and older.

The Pet of the Week is Spunky is a wheaten-colored Lhasa Apso and Terrier mix who is 9 yrs old. Daryl says:

He came to us as a transfer from a different shelter and is now looking for a new loving home to settle into! Spunky loves going for walks and hanging out with his friends in his free time!
