The plug was pulled on the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome early Saturday morning (January 18, 2014) as crews allowed the roof to deflate in the demolition process that will lead up to a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings.

Cameras inside and outside the Metrodome caught footage of the collapse, allowing fans to see the former home of the Vikings sink into the Minneapolis skyline. You can see the time-lapse video from both inside and outside the Metrodome by clicking on the button below.

The Vikings still have construction cameras in place, providing both streaming video and photos of the latest construction progress. These cameras will remain in place until the new stadium is completed. The live stream video camera will provide 24/7 footage of the construction site, while the aerial view still camera will provide an archive of high-quality still images of the site taken every 15 minutes.
