Rod Stewart Postpones 2013 Tour

We were looking forward to seeing Rod Stewart‘s ‘Live the Life’ tour this spring. However, we will have to wait a little bit longer. News coming out of the singer’s camp says that he has had to push back the tour to the fall. The new dates are listed below.
Thankfully, the delay is not due to any health or family-related issues. A message on his website yesterday (Feb. 8) reads, “To accommodate the finishing pre-production and spring promotion of his first original rock studio album in almost 20 years, Rod Stewart has pushed back his Spring tour with Steve Winwood — which will now begin in October.”
Instead of a three-week jaunt through 10 North America cities, the shows will now be spread out over two months. The odd schedule, with the entire month of November entirely open, leaves open the probability that more shows will be added.
All existing tickets will be honored on the new dates. However, those who can not make those dates can get refunds from the point of purchase until Feb. 22.
The news that Stewart, who took cocaine anally, is not yet done with the album contradicts what he said in October. “It’s all done, mate,” he said. “I produced it myself. It’s all finished, mixed, everything … just a good, old-fashioned Rod Stewart album [with] a lot of mandolin and acoustic [guitar] and fiddles and good storytelling, I believe, too.”
