Loverboy was one of the most successful hard rock groups of the eighties. With three multi-platinum albums, the group enjoyed much success in America and Canada, but did nothing in Europe.

Radio stations were more than kind to Loverboy, and they became a huge concert attraction, however starting from 1985 on, the group's good fortune slipped, never again to regain the popularity they once enjoyed.

Trivia:

The groups name was chosen while browsing through a magazine, where they saw a Cover Girl ad.  Cover Girl became Cover Boy, which  became Loverboy. The album cover was designed by Barbara Astman  by typing lyrics from the album onto a self-portrait Polaroid as it developed.
