I got pulled over this morning on my way to work. I had passed a vehicle that was going extremely slow, and unbeknownst to me, it was in a no passing zone. Soon red lights were flashing in my mirror as I pulled into the radio station parking lot.

After telling me what I did wrong, he asked for my insurance papers. After that he asked for my drivers license. I needed to get  out of the vehicle and open the back doors because my briefcase was in the back seat. He told me to get back in the vehicle. When I did, he asked to see my license. "Okay, but you have to promise not to laugh" I told the officer. Very sternly and slowly he repeated "Let me see your drivers license please", to which I again replied "Ok, but you have to promise not to laugh okay?"  "Why would I laugh at your drivers license" he asked.? I gave him the license, he looked at the picture, then back at me as I pulled off my hat, and said 'Surprise'. He started to giggle, and tried hard to restrain his laughter as he returned to his police car.

In a few moments, he returned my license, and gave me a stern warning on passing vehicles, and I agreed with him. I was wrong and he was right, and was simply doing his job. He was a decent guy, and treated me in a professional manner as well. And he got a little giggle out of it too, and that never hurt anybody.
