As CVS Pharmacy finishes up their new construction project at the corner of 28th and Tower, a lot of people have wondered when someone would develop the long-vacant KFC and the (not-so) vacant Godfather's Pizza locations across the street.  Now, we have an answer.

Quiktrip - a convenience store chain that's based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma  - has announced their plans for the corner.  The development would see the demolition of both the old KFC and Godfather's locations to make room for the gas and goods store.

This would be the first location of Quiktrip in Wisconsin.  The C-store is known for a large selection of fountain pop and grill items.  Outside, they usually offer a large number of gas pumps as well - making the entire operation larger than your usual convenience store.

At this time there is no anticipated timeline for an opening date.
