Public Invited To Talk About Cross City Trail May 28th
As I reported before, the Mayor has been talking about making a cross town or cross city trail so you can jog or bike all across the city and go all east or all west. The first talks begin May 28th.
The City of Duluth invites the public to a community meeting to discuss the vision for the Cross City Trail from the end of Phase I (West Superior and Carlton Street) westward to 63rd Avenue West and the former DWP rail line.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at 5:30-7:00 PM at Denfeld High School located at 401 North 44th Ave West. The meeting will take place in the Commons Area. The meeting will consist of a short presentation by SEH, an engineering firm, followed by an opportunity to review options with city staff and provide comments. Topics will include route and design options and neighborhood feedback.
A future meeting is planned with more details to follow at a later date. If you have questions or comments and cannot attend the May 28th public meeting, please send comments to John Kelley, a Planner in the Department of Planning and Construction Services, Room 208 City Hall, Duluth MN, 55802, or email John at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (218) 730-5326.
