Three teams will start practice at the Target Center This week preparing for the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. Miami University, University of Denver, who ousted the UMD Bulldogs, and the nation's top-ranked team University of North Dakota, all ranked in the top 6.

St. Cloud State will practice at home then make the travel to the Target Center.  March 19 will be the first time the practice is open to the public.  There will be press conferences and these press conferences will also be streamed live on NCHC.tv.

According to a press release from Leer Communications, There will be nearly two dozen Minnesota natives playing in this year’s NCHC Frozen Faceoff, including at least one from all four teams. St. Cloud State leads the way with 11 Minnesotans on their roster. Top-seed North Dakota is home to six players from the State of Hockey.

The NCHC Frozen Faceoff semifinals on Friday, March 20 feature St. Cloud State vs. top-ranked North Dakota at 4:08 p.m. and fifth ranked Denver vs. sixth ranked Miami at 7:38 pm.

In addition to the four hockey games at the Frozen Faceoff, fans can enjoy NCHC Fan Fest, presented by Bud Light, before the games each day. Fan Fest will include live music, interactive games, beverages and new this year, a selection of food trucks to feed fans with some of the best mobile cuisine the Twin Cities has to offer.

Entrance to Fan Fest is free to all hockey fans starting at 11:30 a.m. CT on Friday, March 20 on First Avenue in front of Target Center. Fan Fest will move indoors to the Skyway level of Target Center on Saturday, March 21. Fans will need a Saturday-Session ticket to enjoy Fan Fest on day two with doors opening 90 minutes before the third-place game. Doors will open at 3 p.m. CT on Friday.
