If you've been downtown Duluth today and encountered "road closed" signs on parts of Michigan Street - here's the answer to your obvious question.  Crews from the City of Duluth are working to repair a water leak.

In order to accommodate the work, Michigan Street between First Avenue west and First Avenue eats will be temporarily converted to two way traffic to allow access to the Minnesota Power parking facilities.  The city is also alerting motorists that during this time there will be no on-street parking allowed in the project area.
