A busy Twin Ports intersection will be closed to traffic for about two weeks to allow for the installation of new  traffic signals and street lights.  Haines Road - between Arrowhead Road and Highway 53 - will be closed to traffic starting Thursday, September 21.

Road work in the area is part of a largest $2 million project to improve traffic flow along Arrowhead Road.

During the work, special directional signaling will be in place to help drivers who are trying to access the Airport.  There will also be some signage to help drivers as they attempt to access the businesses along that stretch.

According to St. Louis County officials, the work is antcipated to last two weeks - however, there is a financial reward bonus on the line for the contractors to finish the work early.
