Hats off to the Duluth Police and the Floodwood Police Departments for another case successfully closed.  They recently made an arrest in a vehicle theft incident that leaves the suspect with felony charges.

The theft occurred this past weekend on Saturday, March 5.  Police were sent to the 600 block of East First Street at approximately 9:30 PM on a stolen vehicle call.  The party who owned the stolen vehicle was a pizza delivery driver.

Later in the evening an officer with the Floodwood Police Department and a U.S. Border Patrol Agent pulled the vehicle in question over at 19th Avenue West and Superior Street.  61 year old James Andrew Barker was found behind the wheel and was formally charged on St. Louis County District Court with felony theft of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor theft, and driving without a license.

Barker has a criminal history to include felony domestic assault, threats of violence, criminal damage to property, and several driving violations.
