It was on this day in 1968 when Keith Moon drove his Lincoln Continental into the swimming pool of the Flint Michigan Holiday Inn. Some rock n roll books of that time,  say this never happened, however they are wrong. Steven Van Zandt was with them that night, and saw it actually happen. The story was told to me by Steven himself. It cost the band fifty thousand dollars by the time all was said and done.
