After the Minnesota Vikings announced early Wednesday morning that Adrian Peterson would be placed on the commissioner's exempt list and will be required to stay away from the team until his legal case is settled, questions arose about whether or not he would be paid during his time away.

Multiple reports confirm that Adrian Peterson will remain on the Vikings payroll during his court proceedings. Reports go on to say that the team still intends to bring him back once his legal situation is resolved. When that resolution might come is up in the air. His first court appearance is October 8, which means at an absolute minimum that he will miss three more games. It is likely that there will be additional court dates, however, which will extend his time away from the team well into the season.
